Westside Baptist Church of York

Welcome to West Side Baptist Church of York

Rev. and Mrs. Kermit MinnickKermit Minnick is the Pastor/Teacher at West Side Baptist Church in Thomasville, Pennsylvania. He was called, and has ministered there in that capacity since 2003.

Since his graduation from Practical Bible Training School, now Davis College, in Johnson City, New York, over the last forty plus years, Kermit has pastored several churches in the Susquehanna Valley of Pennsylvania and in the Southern Tier of Western New York since entering the ministry in 1968.

Early in his ministry, Kermit was involved in church planting under the American Mission for Opening Churches (AMOC), and has ministered with short-term missions in several countries. He served for several years as editor of the missions periodical of the Association of Reformed Baptist Churches, the ARBCA Update.

Kermit cannot remember a time when he did not know “the glorious gospel of the blessed God.”(1 Tim. 1:11). Born and raised in Pennsylvania, the Lord was pleased to bring Kermit to saving faith and repentance in his youth. As a senior in high school, God constrained him to prepare for a life of ministry, serving the Lord Jesus Christ.

Kermit considers his life-long exposure to the Holy Scriptures by the grace of God, to be one of the greatest blessings of his life, and for which he feels a great sense of accountability to the Lord for the spiritual welfare of the flock that Christ has called him to Shepherd.

Pastor Kermit also serves in a number of local outreach ministries such as teaching at the York County Prison, as well as the Autumn House Nursing Homes - East and West, and printed publications for a local newspaper circular.

Kermit and his wife, Ginny, have four grown children, and they have twenty grandchildren. They reside in the local community.
