“Remember your Creator….”
Ecclesiastes 12:1

The Lord Jesus Christ believed and taught creation from the book of Genesis in the Bible. In answering a question about divorce He said, “But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female” and He went on to quote Genesis 2:24. In foretelling the destruction of Jerusalem He said, “For in those days will be tribulation, such as has not been from the beginning of creation which God created until this time, nor ever shall be.” There were other theories of how the world originated long before the time of Christ, yet He rejected them. The apostle Paul tells us that everyone in the world -- even those who do not have the Bible, knows that God created the world. Romans 1:18-23. Friend, we need the Bible to tell us that fact, not to inform us, but to correct our sinful suppression of what we know to be true. For sinners that we are by nature, we would like to think that we are not responsible to live in submission to God’s holy law. We would like to think that there is no God, no law of God, no sin, no hell, and no need to repent of our sinful ways. The Bible tells us the fact of creation not to inform us, but to reprove us. Dear reader, do you agree with Jesus Christ? Was He foolishly following the ignorant philosophy prevalent in His nation at that time? Or was He referring to the very foundation of religious obligation--the relation and duty of creatures to their Creator? Down deep in our hearts we know the answer. “Remember your Creator…”
